16 Laxatives a Day

I have suffered from constipation as far back as I can remember. I have always had to use some kind of laxative to get my bowels to move. I became laxative dependent at an early age, and cannot remember the last time I ever felt the urge to have a bowel movement--even when taking as many as sixteen laxatives a day.

About four years ago I was diagnosed with anorexia. I was having anxiety attacks; I was malnourished; and was told I could die. I also developed a massive case of internal and external hemorrhoids, which caused me a great deal of pain and suffering. My husband helped me tremendously to get my anorexia and out-of-control laxative usage under control, but I was still laxative dependent.

A few months ago, I decided to have my hemorrhoids checked. The surgeon said they would definitely require an operation, but I would have to get my constipation problem under control first. I tried everything she suggested, but nothing worked.
